Gene
The hostage situation goes wrong, and North finds himself injected with a substance that causes hallucinatory nightmares and flashes of memory that are not his own. He begins to hunt through New York for his attacker, a man he feels inexplicably compelled to kill - a man called Gene.
As he does so, North unlocks the secret of his past, a past that stretches back over 3000 years. GENE is the story of forgotten Greek warrior Cyclades who fought and died in the Trojan Wars, and was fated by the gods to be reincarnated seven times.
Locked in a cycle of battle with the Babylonian Magi Athanatos, Cyclades must once again strive to defeat him and thwart his quest to achieve immortality. Cyclades and Athanatos.
North and Gene. But in this incarnation, neither man knows which is which, or why each of them has the instinctive need to kill the other.

Excerpt from book: sion of dreams that troubled him, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, " commanded to be called to him the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans" of his kingdom, and each time with similar success. They confessed their incapacity; and Daniel, the prophet of the Jews, expounded to the king that in which they had failed.
Nebuchadnezzar in consequence promoted Daniel to be master of the magicians. A similar scene occurred in the court of Belshazzar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar, in the case of the handwriting on the wall.
It is probable that the Jews considered the gods of the nations around them as so many of the fallen angels, or spirits of hell, since, among other arguments, the coincidence of the name of Beelzebub, the prince of devils, with Baalzebub the god of Ekron, could scarcely have fallen out by chance. It seemed necessary to enter into these particulars, as they occur in the oldest and most authentic records from which we can derive our ideas on the subject of necromancy, witchcraft, and the claims that were set up in ancient times to the exercise oLmagical power.
Among these examples there is only one, that of the contention for superiority between Moses and the wise men of Egypt, in which we are presented with their pretensions to a visible exhibition of supernatural effects. THE MAGI, OR WISE MEN OF THE EAST.
The magi, or wise men of the East, extended their ramifications over Egypt, Babylonia, Persia, India, and probably, though with a different name, over China, and indeed the whole known world. Their profession was of a mysterious nature.
They laid claim to a familiar intercourse with the gods. They placed themselves as mediators between heaven and earth, assumed the prerogative of revealing the will of beings of a nature superior

Esus of the Celtic Druids. Mithra of Persia.
Quexalcoati of Mexico. All were crucified gods, and all met their fates hundreds of years before Jesus appeared on the scene.
In this foundational work of modern atheism, American spiritualist KERSEY GRAVES (1813-1883) breaks the Christ myth down into its component parts and ably demonstrates how the story of Jesus has its roots in the depths of antiquity. Here you'll read about the surprising prevalence throughout global folklore of: .
the miraculous and immaculate conception of the gods . stars that point out the time and place of a savior's birth .
angels, shepherds, and magi visiting an infant savior . the 25th of December as the universal birth date of gods .
saviors who descend into Hell . and much more.

Excerpt from book: NOTES. 1 Among the most remarkable ruins of Palmyra are those of the Temple of the Sun, which planet was worshipped in Persia and Syria.
The Magi, or priests of the Sun, were divided into three orders, the first consisted of the inferior priests who conducted the ordinary ceremonies of religion, the second presided over the sacred fire, and the third was the Archimagus or high- priest. The office of priest was generally held by the reigning sovereign ; the Roman Emperor Heliogabalus had himself made a priest of the Sun, and introduced its worship at Rome.
Strabo relates that " The altars of the Magi were attended by priests who daily renewed the sacred fire, accompanying the ceremony with music! " The new year, which fell with the Syrians in spring, was celebrated with great pomp, and the rising of the sun eagerly watched for by the priests, who foretold from the appearance of the heavens then the leading events of the year. Bulls, rams, and cocks were sacrificed to the sun, and vestal virgins attended in the temple.
Heliogabalus gave great offense by marrying one of these virgins. Zoroaster was a reformer of the Magians, and collected their doctrines and rules of worship in the sacred books of the Zend, called the Zend-Avesta.
See Gibbon, and Biographie Universelle, Ancienne et Moderns, vol. lii.
p. 434 ; also, Oracles of Zoroaster.

8 The oriental name of Palmyra was Tadmor, which signifies the same as Palmyra, "the place of the palm-trees." See Josephus.
